| Introduction | I have been the Director of Community Relations at an independent school in Queensland Australia for the last nine years. In my current role I have the privilege of working with the most extraordinary people - children in Preschool right through to the current graduates. I read stories to little ones, take photos of events, I organise the formals and student dinners. I run the Student Journalist club and teach children presentation skills. I develop all the publications and work closely with all the teachers. You could say I have the best job in education! Prior to commencing in my current role, my career was varied; fitness instructor for 15 years, TV presenter, seminar facilitator, author and small business owner. I have recently written my third book, ‘David’s Gift’ the story of raising a child with Asperger’s Syndrome, which is currently in the last stages (I hope) of editing. I facilitate Public Speaking and Presentation Skills Seminars and hold a Diploma of Professional Counselling. I have been married for 26 years…yes to the same person … and we have three terrific children, David 23, Alissa 21 and Caitlin who is 15 years old. |
