| Introduction | Mr. Distler is the author of numerous articles for national and international trade journals and has self-published several family history books. As a genealogist, he was featured in the Time Magazine article "Roots Mania" in 1999 which recalled a journey of discovery that resulted in a long-overdue family reunion in a small German village 152 years after family ties had been lost. In 2008, Mr. Distler published the novella, Anarchy in the Heartland - The Reno Gang Saga. This was the true story of the world's first train robbers, The Reno Gang of Indiana. In 2011, he wrote The Lost Souls of Bell Valley, a paranormal thriller set in the rural foothills of southern Ohio. He will be appearing in the new docudrama, The Legend of the Reno Brothers, based on his study of the outlaws for his book, Anarchy in the Heartland. |
