Introduction Handmade artisan jewelry using precious metals and gemstones. All of my work is designed and produced by me in my studio. I’ve always had artistic interests but my creative career began in college as a potter. I went to school for graphic design and have freelanced since 1994. Jewelry making found me in 2004, the year the hurricanes ravaged Florida. We were without power for 14 days and instead of loosing my mind... I found my stash of beads and started stringing. I’ve since traveled to places like Penland School of Craft and others to learn techniques in metal fabrication with Kiwon Wang, Juan Carlos, Tom Muir and Tom McCarthy. This medium appeals to my nature to work small and focus on detail. Working toward delicate and elegant compositions, most of my inspiration comes from the textures in materials. I feel most fortunate to have met some of the most generous and kind people since I began working in this field. I wake up everyday wanting to spend time in my workshop. I hope you have something in your life that is as inspiring for you.
