| Introduction | After spending my childhood as an avid warmwater fisherman, my interest was rekindled after attending a local United Fly Tyers' meeting in (I think) 1994. Fly photography came later, after my wife gave me my first digital camera for Christmas in 2000. Fishingwithflies.com got off the ground the next summer thanks to that old 1-megapixel camera and many contributions for the "Flies With a Story" page from friends I had met on various Internet fly fishing bulletin boards and forums. Thank you Eric Peper for that first fly contribution! Since then I have had an opportunity to fish and swap stories face-to-face with many of the people whose fishing flies I have photographed and included on fishingwithflies.com. It has been a lot of fun. |
