Introduction	I've been playing around in kayaks since 1998. I'm currently an ACA Open Water Sea Kayak IT and Advanced Open Water Instructor. For me, sea kayaking is about three things: islands, friends, and surf. ----------------- My favorite gear: --- Boats: I paddle for P&H Sea Kayaks and use a Capella 161 for surf and day paddling, and a Quest LV for bigger water and trips. The Ammo S is my preferred whitewater boat. ----------- Paddles: Werner Ikelos 205cm , bent-shaft. WW is currently a Lendal Fusion. ----------- Favorite companies: Immersion Research = great designs, lightweight, super responsive customer service, and an office only 3 hours away in Confluence, PA. --- NRS = Another great paddling company that's still family-owned and true to its roots. --- Kokatat = I'm convinced that Kokatat makes the best PFDs on the market. Durable and comfortable. Their drysuits are no bargain, but they're proven quality.
