About Me
I am a self-taught artist based in Christchurch. I have a fascination with creating things, love to paint and also love to sculpt, so have managed to combine these two passions with my mixed media artworks. I admit that I am a "total texture junkie". Most of my paintings contain some form of mixed media and I enjoy incorporating many different types of texture and resin in my artworks to create unique 2d effects. My inspiration comes from the everyday moments of life... like a weekend away, a memory I have, or driving down the road and seeing or hearing something. I love the outdoors - nature in all its beauty, be it mountains, rivers, flowers, trees or butterflies - they all provide inspiration and seem to flow through my paintings. My work is sold internationally, exhibited in select NZ Galleries and also used in advertising catalogues.
