Introduction Well,I have to start with literature, obviously. I enjoy studying the macabre, the subversive, and the awesome. I've been rapidly getting into literary critical theory, but don't worry, I'm not a philosofucker. Yet. In terms of theory, I tend to focus on identity and power politics (Foucault for hegemony and Butler for gender) and Derrida's de-construction. I'm also a huge fan of film, with interests ranging from horror movies to animation (Looney Tunes!) to action films to the films of Akira Kurosawa, Guillermo Del Toro, and Jean Renoir. I'm full of useless knowledge about pop culture, I love tattoos, I get a kick out of history, and I'm brave enough to admit I have man-crush on Kurt Russel. I wouldn't have sex with Kurt Russel, but if my (hypothetical) girlfriend had sex with him, I'd be like "Details!" I stole that line from a stand-up comedian because I watch insane amounts of stand-up. And pro-wrestling. And the Food Network.
