About Me
I am a husband, father, teacher, musician, and music store owner from Floyd, Virginia. I perform traditional and original acoustic blues and roots music, instruct dozens of guitar students and conduct educational workshops on blues music. I also own and operate the Pickin' Porch, an acoustic music store specializing in handcrafted and vintage instruments, music supplies, instruction, repair and art. As if that weren't enough, I also my own promotion company and record label Oh Papa Music. My wife and I live on a 40 acre farm in Floyd County, VA where we raise our two sons, dogs, cats, chickens, fruit trees, berry bushes, a vegetable garden and more than a few eyebrows.
