About Me

I am a native of Raleigh, North Carolina living and working in the Washington, DC area. I majored in Political Science at UNC-Chapel Hill (Class of '99), and received my J.D. from St. John's University School of Law (Class of '06). outragedmoderates.org has received media coverage for obtaining Donald Rumsfeld’s notes from 9/11/01 under the Freedom of Information Act (Guardian article, New York Times op-ed), and for its use of peer-to-peer networks to distribute government documents (Wired article), which was cited as a “substantial noninfringing use” of the technology in two of the amicus curiae briefs submitted to the Supreme Court in the MGM v.
