| Introduction | My name is Jessie Zimmerman, I am the Lead Teacher in the Cardinal Room. I have two great girls, Alyssa (11) and Leslie (10). A husband, Steve, and a Chocolate Lab named Miley. I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in the spring of 2007 with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been employed at Diamond Street Early Childhood Center for almost 8 years, working in the Hummingbird room for 6 years and substituted for 2 years in different rooms when needed. I recently took the Lead Teacher position in the Cardinal Room and have enjoyed creating lesson plans and watching children learn the topics I had planned. It is truly a rewarding experience! A long term goal I hope to acheive is obtaining my Bachlors Degree in Early Childhood Education. When my own children are at an age they don't need me at home as much, I will start on this goal. :) |
