| Introduction | When I grew up I had a strong passion for the competitive field of sports. Throughout my youth, I joined every sports activity and soon became very competitive. I had a supportive family that taught me that hard work and being a team player are “key” to achieving success. My competitive nature has helped me build discipline, a strong character and the ability to take on new challenges. As I grew, I came to realize that the field of sports was not a practical career in which I could excel. I then decided to pursue other interests and became intrigued in the criminal justice system and devoted my studies to this area. Although I’ve changed paths I feel I have accomplished a great deal through dedication and strong commitment. I am learning that most challenges in life can be overcome by defining clear objectives, understanding the qualities needed to achieve them, assessing weaknesses and complementing strengths to achieve the desired goal. I’m currently pursuing a bachelor degree and career in criminal justice. |
