Introduction Pavao Masic was born in Šibenik (Croatia), where he started his musical education. He studied organ with Mario Penzar and harpsichord with Višnja Mažuran at Zagreb Academy of Music, and continued further organ studies (solistic diploma) at Conservatoire-HEM de Lausanne with Kei Koito, as well as harpsichord studies (MA) at Musikhochschule-Freiburg im B. with prof. dr. Robert Hill. He participated in numerous courses of organ and harpsichord interpretation with L. F. Tagliavini, D. Roth, M. Gailit, C. Bossert, T. Koopman, K. B. Bryndorf, R. Hill, L. Cummings, B. van Asperen, P. Hantai, S. Sempé. He is the winner of first prizes at international organ competitions including the Andrea Antico da Montona (2006) and Grand Prix Bach de Lausanne (2006). He also won prestigious Croatian awards such as Special Prize of Rector of Zagreb University for his harpsichord debút in Zagreb Concert Hall (2005) and Jeunesse Musicale Award Ivo Vuljevic for the best young musician in 2006. He is the main organist in the ancient Zagreb Church of St.Marc since 1999. Since 2008 he holds the post of assistant to prof. Mažuran, teaching harpsichord and basso continuo at Zagreb Academy of Music.
