I played in the local band Miles Dethmuffen/Permafrost until 1998. Gave that up to go back to school, which I did in 2000. Got my bachelor's in political science and a master's in politics and public policy. Now I'm working on a PhD. I still try to get out once in a while to follow local music, but find I spend more time reading and writing.
