Introduction I've never had any real trouble with my hair (aside from the excess shedding that finally sent me running from the chemicals) although my story is like so many...press and curl - in Grandma's kitchen - as a little girl, my first "perm" in my early teens believing that my hair would be easier to manage (not to mention "long and pretty"), many a conversation about "good" and "bad" hair and/or long vs. short hair, far too many hours spent at the "beauty shop," wondering why the relaxer smelled the way it did and not making the connection; and not having a clue as to what my "natural" hair would be like or if I could ever manage it on my own...or if I should even try. Well after years of contemplation (and lots of waffling), I found my roots after my last bone-straight relaxer in October 2004...and so the natural hair journey began. Of course there is more to story and more to be written, so do come back often! Thank you for visiting and please DO NOT COPY or use any of my photos without my explicit permission! TSM.
