About me

Occupation Long arm quilter
Location North-central California, United States
Introduction I have 4 adult children, 3 awesome grandchildren, a husband and 2 dogs. actually they are ALL awesome, HA. I married out of high school because i wanted to be a homemaker and mother just like my Mom. Lots of people frown on just homemaking. but those skills spilled into other parts of life and got me through hard times, knowing how to manage, move fast, keep my eyes and ears open and work!! and earn a buck along the way. Sewing has been my avenue to audition all these attributes. I have had a long arm quilting business for 11 years, and before that, well, I will bring those tidbits up here and there along the way as this blog comes to life!!
Interests As I view other blogs, I need to expand my interests. I have always enjoyed finding treasures, refinishing furniture, re-purposing old items, and sewing. My main passion is quilts, old ones, new ones, those yet to make, etc. Part of the fun is that Quilts are Alive. I wrote a personal storybooklet in 2005 of some of my quilt experiences. sounds strange, but its true. I want to blog them from time to time, some funny, some sad, some just plain good, but they happen in my life because of quilts and their people. Hope to meet lots more stories on the way. PS And I love dishes, the older and the more the better. Cannot seem to get enough of them!!
Favorite Movies Gosh, movies are not much part of my life, but I sure enjoy "Six days, Seven Nights", "Second Hand Lion", and "Open Range". Looking at those, you find I like Harrison Ford and especially Robert Duvall. but I would rather sew.
Favorite Music Gosh, music is playing all day around here, my husband loves it, so we like easy jazz, easy rock, oldies, Hawaiian, and Elvis on Sirius radio
Favorite Books I love "Flowers in the Rain by Rosamund Pilcher, and her "Winter Solstice" actually anything by her

Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?

So do you sew?
