About Me

I began writing about junior tennis in 2000, when I retired from my job in banking and volunteered for the Nationals in Kalamazoo. Though I had attended the tournament for over 20 years, I had not had the opportunity to volunteer. I ended up working on the website (ustaboys.com) and writing daily stories about the Nationals for it. In 2004, I obtained credentials to cover the US Open junior tournament, and discovered I could report with the best of them. I started this blog in January of 2005, and have been posting to it daily since then. I am pursuing freelance assignments related to college and junior tennis, and my work appears in SMASH and Tennis Magazines, and online at tennisrecruiting.net.
