About Me
I'm a licensed psychotherapeutic social worker who coaches the food allergic community and asthmatic community as well as consults food service organizations on food allergy management. Email me for more information or a consultation. My professional site is Allergic Girl Resources, Inc.
I've been allergic to tree-nuts since age 2 and salmon since I ate my first bagel with lox. Throw in eggplant (discovered that in my early teen years), some types of melons (I thought everyone had an itchy throat when eating fruit salad), most tropical fruits (you mean your mouth doesn't hurt when you eat pineapple?) and lemongrass (discovered at an unfortunate dinner in the high school years) and you have one Allergic Girl. I've had environmental allergies and allergic asthma (now in remission) since I was four years old.
Since May 2005, I've maintained a wheat-free, white sugar-free, low lactose, low soy, low processed food-free lifestyle - organic/local/sustainable whenever possible.
