About Me

I am a life-long teacher (mostly at the high school level) and have lived all my life in California. Moved to the SF Bay Area in 1984 from L.A. Both my parents are still alive and I have a brother and 3 sisters. Although I'm a librarian my undergraduate degree is in biology and I can teach life and physical sciences in the state of California. I've traveled in Europe, Africa and Asia and hope one day to spend a lot of time in Bali. One of my sisters has lived in Java since 1991 and I've been to Indonesia 4 times. I've attended the International Association of School Librarianship Conference five times since 2001 (New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, Portugal and Taiwan). In 2008 the conference is being held in Berkeley at the University of California.
