Introduction	This is the myriad adventures of me and mine eating food, growing food, cupcakes, food festivals, cooking and baking contests, and cooking food for our own enjoyment as well as the enjoyment of others. There will also be occasional references to kids, husbands, car crashes, surgeries, work, dogs, and my unhealthy obsession with home improvement at my 1950 Hollywood Park house.
Interests	Growing food, cooking food, eating food. Mid-century home improvement. Fairs and food festivals.
Favorite Movies	Sunset Boulevard, Rocky Horror, Muppet Movie, The Empire Strikes Back. Food movies! Babette's Feast, Eat Drink Man Woman, Big Night, Delicatessen, Ratatouille, The Last Supper, Like Water for Chocolate, Tampopo, Chocolat, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Favorite Music	Too many to list, but the Pixies, Elliott Smith, The Clash, Elvis Costello, Leonard Cohen, Ray Charles, The Carter Family, Nick Cave, X and The Beatles stand out. I'm also a sucker for 60's one-hit wonder garage rock.
Favorite Books	Food writing and cookbooks. James Beard and Jeffrey Steingarten are my favorites, but Craig Claiborne, Jacques Pepin, MFK Fischer and Julia Child stand out. Also the poetry of Raymond Carver, and novels of TC Boyle, Kurt Vonnegut and Truman Capote.
