Introduction I'm passionate about the Catholic faith...I love gaining deeper insight into what it means to live a life of faith. I also LOVE theatre, visiting art galleries, live music... classical, rock, jazz, GOOD Christian/Catholic rock, expressing my creativity, old movies...especially musicals, show tunes , collecting records, rummaging in used book stores (ahhh...breathe deep the smell of dusty books...heaven!), antique hunting, wandering around NY (like a tourist, not like a homeless person), cooking, curling up next to the fire with a cozy book,Youth and Young Adult Ministry, sharing tea with friends, coffee in all it's glorious forms, traveling, the ocean, entertaining (I especially love the PLANNING of an event!), good wine and dirty martinis...and an ice cold gin and tonic in the summer, outer space, trying new foods,painting, drawing, art in all it's beautiful incarnations, singing with my sisters, laughing with Michaela and Erin until I'm wiping my tears. I think it's safe to say that I have a zest for living life to the fullest.
Interests mothering, reading, watching classic movies, painting, drawing, singing, listening to good music, conversations with dear friends and family, homeschooling, decorating and home reno, taxiing children to various activities, ongoing faith study, learning latin with my daughter...and much more. No wonder I'm tired!

Favorite Books My favorite book in the world is Jane Eyre, closely followed by All Louisa May Alcott...especially Eight Cousins and Rose in Bloom. Everyone should read Jane Austen, and I'm rather obsessed with (to varying degrees and depending on the day) novels from the 40's, 50's and early 60's, Ann Rivers Siddons novels (especially Hill Towns...amazing!), Lord of the Rings, Narnia series, The Well Trained Mind, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gone with the Wind, Story of a Soul, A Tree grows in Brooklyn, This Present Darkness, All Harry Potter books, The Mists of Avalon, The Silver Chalice, The Bells of St. Mary's, Lost Horizon, The Song of Bernadette, Troubadore for the Lord, ALL Rosamunde Piltcher (favorite contemporary novelist, hands down!), Dancing on my Grave, Anne of Green Gables series, all Little House books, Trixie Beldon series, Nancy Drew series, The #1 Ladies Detective Agency series, The Ladies of Convington series, most everything I've read about the Authurian Legend, and more books than there is space to list! "So many books, too little time!"
