About me

Gender Female
Occupation Rabbinic Student
Location Los Angeles, CA, United States
Introduction Born and raised in Seattle, Washington where I learned to love tea and rain and evergreen trees. Found a love for Judaism in NFTY after a slight push from Rabbi Michael Latz, set my sights on becoming a rabbi at age 16 and have been moving toward that goal ever since. Moved to sunny southern California for college and graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2008 with a BA in Religious Studies. During my undergraduate years, I fell in love with cycling, spent a year in Dublin Ireland (and worked as a Starbucks barista!) and wrote my undergraduate thesis on JUBUs (Jewish Buddhists). After college I had the privilege of serving NFTY SOCAL's phenomenal teens as their regional advisor for two years before enrolling at Hebrew Union College's School of Rabbinic Studies.
