Introduction	I'm a doctoral student specializing in children's literature. I spend a lot of time reading and possibly even more time avoiding reading. I suck like that.
Interests	Books, books, books.
Favorite Movies	These are many. I tend to like film adaptations of novels by people like Nick Hornby, Chuck Palahniuk, and Irvine Welsh; fantasy films, particularly those made from children's novels; most Tim Burton movies; and yes, Juno.
Favorite Music	Lots o' stuff including but not limited to: britpop, chicks with guitars, chicks with pianos, country, electronica (various subgenres), folk, grunge, hair metal, hardcore, hip hop, new wave, punk, ska, and other stuff I can't think of or can't think of genres for. Favorite artists I don't feel like categorizing or think are too important not to be listed individually include: Blur, Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco, Meatloaf, Pulp, the Smiths, Tom Waits, and XTC.
Favorite Books	Most of them. My dissertation will focus on the Harry Potters, the Chronicles of Narnia and the Time Quartet.
