About me

Introduction From July 15th - 30th, Regent University's First Response Trauma Team is on deployment to Johannesburg, South Africa, working with the Basotho tribe living throughout Intabazwe and Qwa Qwa. Seventeen faculty, students and alumni, under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Keyes, are operating as a mobile clinic taking trauma counseling into the villages, prisons, hospitals and IDP camps in the area. Team member and Regent alumna Laurena Kleckner, who received a bachelor's degree in Psychology online in 2007 and is nearly finished with a master's in Community Counseling, is providing team updates. Laurena plans to focus her counseling career in disaster and trauma.
