About Me

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, the only child of Ken and Evelyn Jenkins. Today, I serve as newspaper editor of a Missouri small town weekly. My writing has appeared in a number of periodicals and newspapers throughout the United States. I'm currently in the process of writing my first book. As a professional speaker, I seek to motivate, challenge and inspire my audience. Speech/seminar topics include, but not limited to, these topics: "Living the Good Life in the Ozark Plateau Region;" "Ten Quick Ways to Revolutionize Your Spiritual Life;" "It's Not Where You've Been, It's Where You're Going;" "Stop the Guilt and Start Living;" and "The Joy of Living in the Present Moment." I'm married to a high school business teacher and am the proud dad of four wonderful children. To discuss freelance writing jobs or schedule speaking engagements/seminars, contact me by clicking the link found in the upper left corner of this page.

You've rented a sky-writer to propose to your significant other, but it's completely overcast. What will you do?

Send him over to my significant other’s home with an unlit cigar. When he gets to her place, he can light the cigar and, using its smoke, write her the proposal in person.
