Introduction | I am a Christian, meaning that I have a relationship with God, a wife, a mother, an activist, and I count myself as an advocate for all people, rather than of any individual or certain group of people. I grew up with a variety of problems which earned me labels like emotionally disturbed, withdrawn, unsocial, mild cerebral palsy, epileptic (last seizures 15 years ago, thank God), behaviorally disordered, and more. I was viciously bullied and grew up with deeply ingrained feelings of confusion, frustration, resentments, shame, worthlessness, and identity confusion. THese feelings affect me to this day as I seek to "come out of the closet" of my past and my challenges. That is thanks to the autism spectrum disorders and my belief that I may have grown up undiagnosed, as the diagnosis was not around when I was growing up. Today, I seek to redeem my past by being a voice for the voiceless. I believe that it is God Who redeems our lives through His Son. Unfortunately, the only way I see that you can comment on my posts is to click "Links To This Post" and it will enable your comments. Please bear with me as I'm new to blogging! Thank you. |
