| Introduction | Dack Rouleau is a student who pays his bills by waiting on tables, though he usually identifies as an unemployed writer. It's likely for the best that nobody has hired him to put words on a page, because, if somebody did, he would have to decide whether to be a novelist, social critic, film reviewer, media analyst, literary scholar, political assessor, sports journalist, or something else completely. In the meantime, he will have to content himself with writing meandering essays on all of the aforementioned topics and hoping that someone will appreciate his purple, self-indulgent writing enough to give him a real job someday. |
