Introduction My name is Michael Valle and I teach Philosophy at Scottsdale Community College, and I work on motorcycles at a local dealership. I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Arizona State University and a PHD (Professional Harley-Davidson) from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. I recently survived Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I favor traditional, conservative values and free markets. I am a registered Republican. I believe it more likely that consciousness gave rise to the material universe than the other way around. My commitment is the Classical Deism of Lord Herbert of Cherbury, which affirms the Five Common Notions: There is a Supreme Being, He ought to be worshiped, worship consists primarily of virtuous behavior, we ought to rectify our wrongs, and there are punishments and rewards for us both in this life and the next. I do not believe in miracles understood as direct interventions by God in the natural order. I honor my ancestors, the Gods and Goddesses of my ancestors, and the Supreme Being. I ride my motorcycles every single day with my fists in the wind. The Spirit of Liberty is alive and well here in the desert. Ride with us!
