About Me
A Blog For All and None. Consider it my narrative history of ideas. A place primarily to share and obtain feedback to my thoughts through my graduate career in philosophy. For philosophy is simply "thoughts that have been thought out."
Interests
- My philosophical interests include primarily Philosophical Anthropology and Ethics with a dominant propensity toward these themes in the early German Phenomenology of Max Scheler (which has correspondingly sparked my interest in Kantian Ethics)
- and in the the later French Phenomenology of Paul Ricoeur (his 'Hermeneutics of the Self') and Emmanuel Levinas (his 'Phenomenology of the Other"). I would love to make some effort in bringing the philosophy of Scheler out of the dark and into the Continental light--in the light of the these latter two very significant
- nearly contemporary
- French thinkers.
