Introduction My passion for climbing developed in 2006 during graduate school in Western New York. It started in our school climbing gym where the community hooked me. I moved back to Minnesota and into a quite large and very active climbing community where I quickly became active in the Minnesota Climbing Association (MCA). I feel very strongly about teaching and promoting stewardship of the places we travel. I enjoy all styles of climbing and sharing my passion for any of them with others. For the last 6 years I have been climbing at least 3 days a week on average and still love every moment of it. I also played rugby until 2010, mountain and road bike, ski, and enjoy many other outdoor activities. While living in MN, a group of us addicted ice and mixed climbers started training in Matt’s Garage. Matt had built some steep climbing walls in the top of his garage where we would get together and drytool. We started incorporating swivels, chains, PVC tubing (aka The Hellraiser) and the training became really fun climbing.
