Introduction | I am writer/poet, visual artist, performance activist, and cultural voice for my immigrant people, who are experiencing brutal persecution in the "land of the free" during an era or raging anti-immigrant hysteria. I believe that the most patriotic thing one can do is employ the right to "freedom of expression," and speak the people's truth to challenge the perverse abuse of power. We are the people, and we have to use our collective voices to expose the hypocrisy of blind nationalism and false patriotic fervor that espouses violence against a group of people. We have seen this before, and the Native American People were branded as "savages" by "civilized" Europeans, who exacted genocide and stole the lands. Let's dare to remember in the "United States of Amnesia," which seduces you to embrace for getting. |
Interests | I am interested in truths about the state of things, political discourse, and employing the arts as a means to inspire social change and consciousness. I believe in speaking truth to the perverse abuse of power. |
