A garden-maker valuing the work of garden-making as an art-form, a florist who likes to re-express nature's force and tenuity, a possible poet, a writer and sometime bookseller with an inclination towards the divine subjective, I like a humane originality, quiet sorts of spaces and wildness not too wild. This blog covers work in my own garden, visits to wherever I'm inspired to go and representations, visual, literary or theatrical, of my feeling, depending on climates interior and exterior. I'm interested in site-specific design, land-art, environmental integrity and sculptural forms originating from nature. I am also interested in ideas of rescue and revival as they apply to damaged landscapes and gardens, in aesthetics, and in the spiritual origin, the spiritual reality of all life.
