| Introduction | We are a mother and son, one of whom has been diagnosed with an ASD by a doctor, while the other has only been diagnosed by common sense. One has decades of experience providing mental health care, and the other has only begun to do so months ago. What we share is a delight in our diagnosis, which we both found in adulthood. What we have found in our autism is a confidence that we deserve a world that we can live in without fear or pain. What we hope to do is share stories and words that will let you know that you are not alone. We are not alone. |
