About Me

What can I say? I first got on a pair of skis when I was 3 and by 8 my family owned a condo in BV. At 10 I discovered snowboarding and it took over my life. Through High School I found myself competing all over the west and every waking moment was devoted to boarding. In college, a buddy offered me a job at Avalanche Snowboards where I built bindings and was quickly promoted to Line Supervisor. Next season I was hired as the Asst Production Manager and stayed in that capacity for 3 years. Working at Avalanche was great, I met a lot of awesome people and learned a lot about the snowboard industry. At this time Avalanche merged with another company and my job got merged out of state. As luck would have it, Bear Valley needed a manager for snowboard rentals. Don’t tell anyone but I didn’t have a clue what I was doing when I got here. Yeah, I knew snowboards and I had run a sizable crew at Avalanche but customers? Rentals? Ski Resorts? I was a little worried. I guess I took to it fairly well, the Grizz Den runs pretty smoothly now and after 4 years I moved up to take over the Winter Lift for Ginger who was retiring. Retail has been a whole different world and I am really enjoying it.
