Introduction Michael is a native of Charleston, WV currently living in Washington, DC. Born the son of a forest ranger, Michael graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Zoology and a double minor in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation and Music Performance. A Truman and Udall Scholar, Michael has worked for such organizations as the American Zoo & Aquarium Association, 20/20 Vision, the National Geographic Society, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Michael conducted research on EU conservation policy for a year at the National University of Ireland-Galway on a George Mitchell Scholarship. Michael currently works for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in their Office of External Affairs. He also sits on the board of SustainUS, a national youth network for sustainable development.
