The American Shakespeare Center (ASC), is a national Shakespeare resource for audiences, actors, students, scholars, and educators. We tour internationally and perform in repertory in historic Staunton, Virginia at Blackfriars Playhouse, the world's only re-creation of William Shakespeare's original indoor theatre. We believe that the study, performance, and enjoyment of Shakespeare’s plays are of vital interest to the life of the nation.
