About Me

I graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa with a B.A. degree in Art. I also studied with Daniel Greene in Chicago. The challenge of producing quality work on a consistent basis requires motivation and discipline that is very exciting, so I decided to join the many talented artists who are working in the Painting A Day movement. For me, the daily paintings are a visual diary, a search for subject, an avenue to improve as an artist, and a spiritual form of thanksgiving, a giving back to God what He has given me. People are my primary focus, but if your eyes are really open, subject matter is everywhere. My goal is to produce a painting a day, but no one wants to sacrifice quality over quantity, so some days may be missing a painting - that means something didn't work out. It happens!
