About Me

I've been in the food business for more than 20 years. Food fascinates me: its flavors and textures, its lore and the political issues that surround it. My current business is a small takeout restaurant in Seattle called Patty Pan Grill, with a menu based on local, seasonal ingredients. I'm also a vendor at several local farmers' markets. I feel fortunate to have been a part of this movement as it has grown and thrived. Working at the markets I feel a connection to all the people who have participated in market culture since the beginning of civilization, gathering in public spaces to exchange goods and stories.
