| Introduction | My interest in cities is personal and professional, as well as academic. From travels abroad and exploring my own city I have become fascinated with the ways in which all cities are different, and yet the same. I love exploring different vibrant neighbourhoods and seeing how they the people are constantly incorporating new infleunces, blending them with the old and familiar. Buildings, streetscapes and architecture also tell something of a region's history -- and again how the old and familiar continually mixes with the new. |
