Introduction	My column is a country song. Humor, fear, love, tears, smiles, kids, dogs and beer live in my life and, therefore, in my writing. My life is lived collectively. Most folks share the same types of experiences. I write about these. For this reason, my column resonates, on some level, with many people. It is inclusive and expresses life in terms of its frailty and the “beauty in the ugly”. Life is perfect in its imperfections. In fact, this is where the color, depth and discovery lives. Having a sense of humor and an appreciation about the little trips and stumbles that we encounter daily smoothes the sharp edges and provides some perspective necessary to enjoying life. And enjoying life, to me, is the whole point.
