| Introduction | I've always worn many, sometimes colorful, hats in my life and an artist's beret has been underneath all of them - wife, mother, grandmother, pastor's wife, children's minister and most recently retiree. Porcelain painting was my first artistic passion that gradually transformed into watercolor artist/teacher. Reflecting a “joie de vivre” I love color and attempt to re-create a portion of the Creator’s work of art as I dip my brush into my own soul and paint my own nature into my paintings (a favorite quote from Henry Ward Beecher). I am inspired by the seasons and my surroundings. Having lived and traveled in France, painting for my own pleasure in a travel journal is one of my greatest joys. |
