Introduction I was a tomboy who sewed. I loved horses, books, and being outdoors. I believed in science but I wanted magic. I went to Purdue to become a veterinarian and learned I was a writer. I went away to grad school in Seattle and realized I was a goatherd and a gardener. Returning to Indiana, a mother, I discovered an embroiderer, a papermaker, a bookbinder, printmaker, enamelist. I am a text and textile, mixed media, multi-species artist. My work documents my continuing exploration of my internal and external landscapes, their inhabitants, and the power of transformation.
