| Introduction | I have always loved eating, and travel has always been about trying new food in new surrounds. I moved to the Middle East in mid 2011 after never having visited the region before. Upon hearing that I was moving to Cairo, a co-worker exclaimed "Ah the booby prize of the Middle East!" He was referring not only to the culture, environment and climate, but the cuisine. I will admit that is has taken me a little while to warm to Egyptian food. But after 6 months in Cairo I have found some great places to eat, drink and take in the surrounds. I would love to share them with you! |
