About me

Occupation retired
Location Yellville, AR, United States
Introduction We are the Hatchers, Joe and Lou, in our mid-seventies, and have been married 54+ years. We retired from our jobs in Waco, TX and spent the next 8 years fulltime rving. We now have our home on 3 acres in the beautiful Ozark Mountains south of Yellville, Arkansas. Last fall, our daughter, Carrie Britten, of Clayton, CA called and asked if we would follow she and Jerry (our son-in-law) in our RV as they ride their bicycles from their home in California to their cabin on Crooked Creek south of Flippin, Arkansas. (see http://carriebsbigadventure.blogspot.com). We had talked about an RV trip out west for sometime, daydreams of times gone by, but nothing definite. Anyway, it sounded like a good idea, so why not? So, after doing a few upgrades to the inside of our current trailer (not our large full-timing home), mapping routes (there are some things we want to definitely see on the way to California),and making arrangements for a prolonged absence from paradise, we departed for the Golden West on April 8th. This will be a journal of our adventures (or misadventures), whatever they may be.
Interests Lou: Quilting, RVing, reading Joe: Pen and ink drawing, watercolor painting, reading
