| Introduction | I would like to begin by telling you that I have been married, to the same man, for many years. I enjoy (most of the time) being married to him. I am not trying to sway any person for, or against marriage. I am not going to tell you my personal beliefs (religious or otherwise), I am merely trying to create an open dialog with which to analyze marriage and why people get married. I often like discussing things that are controversial and sometimes against what I personally believe- though I will not tell you so. I do not want, nor mean, to offend anyone. I do want you to question what you believe and why you believe it. I think that it is only by constantly analyzing and putting our beliefs to the test to we truly learn what is important. |
