Introduction I love being a part of Remember My Service! Everything about it is an extension of my personal beliefs and experiences that we have the most dedicated and capable men and women in uniform on the planet. When I was living in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a teenager, one of my favorite things to do was drive by the US Embassy because just getting a glimpse of someone in the American uniform made me feel close to home. I was also there during the military junta years as thousands of people were kidnapped and simply disappeared. In that context, I am supremely grateful that our American Military is, and always has been, the very backbone and ultimate protectors of our democratic ideals. For the last 5 years, I have envisioned how each Servicemember should be recognized and honored for their service in the most meaningful way...and in June of 2009, that vision was realized when the Utah National Guard made the first of several statewide ceremonial presentations of their interactive historical records to each Soldier and Airman. I hope you'll take 2 minutes to watch this video listed under "in the news" on this blog. Thank you for your service!
