About Me

My first mystery, DEATH WILL GET YOU SOBER, was published in 2008 by St. Martin's Press. The follow-up, DEATH WILL HELP YOU LEAVE HIM, will appear next year. I am a New York City psychotherapist, currently practicing online at www.LZcybershrink.com. I spent 20 years working in and running alcohol treatment programs, including one on the Bowery, and in f2f private practice. I've published two books of poetry and a book about gender and addictions. I've written and lectured widely on codependency, addictions, eating disorders,couples and relationships, dysfunctional families, spirituality, and creativity. My mysteries are about recovery, friendship, New York, and of course whodunit.
