About Me

I am happiest in the mountains as far away from technology as possible. I like to hike/fastpack/run long-distance trails and have been running ultras for 17 years, with ~100 finishes, including 25 hundred milers. My love of the outdoors began with hiking in New England 20+ years ago. I now live in Southern California but having spent most of my life in Vermont, I will always be a Vermonter. I try to live by the "Every day's a holiday, every meal's a feast" philosophy. Salomon sponsors me and makes the best-fitting shoes I've ever run in!
