Introduction	I created this blog to satiate my hunger for all things food, including its history, origins, preparation, and the intoxicating effects of its tastes. I am particularly interested in preparing the foods from my family's native country, Vietnam. None of our family recipes are written down; I only learned how to cook Vietnamese foods from my mom telling me over the phone to add this and that to the pot and stir, without any precise measurements. Only when I observed her and scribbled down notes while she cooked did I begin to learn approximately how much of each ingredient to add and how to actually prepare the dishes. I hope that in writing this blog, I will also be able to document my family's recipes as well.
