About Me
My name is Schelley Brown. I am the Director of the Dorcheat Historical Association & Museum, Inc. My love of history is put to use in many different organizations. I serve on the board of the Minden Cemetery Association and created the Minden Cemetery Ghost Walk. I live in the Minden Historic Residential District which allowed me to serve as the president of the Minden H.R.D. Assoc. I love old cars they are the ultimate antique. I am a member of several car clubs. In 2004 Minden Cruisin' for a Cure Wheels Through Time Car Show was born, to benefit St. Jude and other non-profit organizations that I am involved with. I am honored to serve as the Jr. Vice President of Mid-American Old Time Automobile Association based in Morrilton, Arkansas. Member and past president of the Ark-La-Tex Antique and Classic Car Assoc. in Shreveport. It has been said about me that if it is old, rusty, buried, won't crank or the paint is peeling off that I must have something to do with it. I love preservation in all aspects.
