| Introduction | Miranda rode her first horse in 1998 at the age of ten when her parents bought her ten riding lessons for Christmas. From that day on, she was hooked on horses. When Miranda was sixteen she got her first job and saved up all her money to buy her first horse, an untrained, reactive gelding she had no business working with. Though that experience was a train wreck, resulting in Miranda severely breaking her elbow, it somehow succeeded in sparking a dream in Miranda to become a professional horse trainer. Miranda's journey towards that goal has brought her from the hills of Tennessee, to a summer horse camp in Ohio, to an Equine University in Missouri, to a Dressage Internship in Indiana, back to Tennessee to study Natural Horsemanship independently, and now to the rocky coastline of Downeast Maine. Miranda's journey has been one of success and failure, of great joy and sadness, of pain and perseverance. But most of all it's been a journey full of dreams. With this blog, Miranda hopes to encourage fellow horseman to never give up and to earnestly chase after their dreams. |
